Jealous of Nature

 I am jealous of nature,

It woos you with its beauty,

and lures you to acceptance.

I am jealous of the rainbow,

It smiles beautifully at my lover,

and steals her heart with its resonating laughter.

I am jealous of the rain,

it radically caresses my lover,

and makes her wet.

I am jealous of the sunshine

that sucks up her wetness

and kisses her tenderly.

I am jealous of the thunder,

it sends shivers down her spine,

and leaves her clinging to her bedsheets.

I am jealous of the sky,

The blue sky that beckons on her,

as she sleeps beneath it all night.

I am jealous of the stars,

to whom she makes wishes,

and pours out her heart desires.

Should I hate nature

for taking my beloved away,

and stealing her heart?

Should I appreciate nature

for putting smiles on my lovers face,

for feeding her stomach with butterflies?
